Mark,
How exciting, congratulations! Unfortunately, driving such a vehicle does require special insurance. Standard cars are very different from high performance cars in many ways. They are more eye catching and therefore, tend to be stolen more. They are more likely to be pulled over more for traffic violations and if you are in an accident they are far more expensive to repair than a Honda or Toyota. But – don’t let that stop you from driving your awesome, well deserved baby! Just make sure to do your homework and get the right insurance. Make sure to compare many carriers for cost AND coverage. Shopping online is your best bet because you can compare many policies at once. Make sure to look for high performance car insurance in San Diego. I have attached a link below to get you started. Once you have shopped around then you can take your findings to your current carrier to see what they can offer. Good luck …. And enjoy your new car!
